When District 8 collided and Cecelia met Wovey! ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today I want to put a spotlight on this beautiful human @the.sofia.sanchez! And her mama! I was lucky enough to meet them at the premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Since then I have been following her from afar on social media and am consistently inspired by what I see. ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today is World Down Syndrome Day. It’s on March 21, to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (hence the 3rd month) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. 3️⃣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you Sofia for not just teaching me more about Down Syndrome, but for sharing your life with us, and showing us what it means to be YOU.
