I haven’t ever recommended with all my heart a movie I’ve not been part of here on Instagram because – my insisting that you “absolutely CANNOT miss a film!”, isn’t going to have you all flock to the theatres and quite frankly, that opinion would be subjective. Usually, that is accurate. Not Bad Girl though. Please – flock to the theatres. Take your women. Take your men. Take your mothers. Take your fathers. Take anyone you can. Twice. Thrice if you can. I’m happy to put this post up on my page because FFFFFUCK what a film. I lived every single scene. I felt catharsis in ways I wasn’t ready for. I felt seen in ways I hadn’t thought anyone would even notice. I wish I had more women like Sel, Deepthi, Paro, her senior Niharika growing up. I feel a little warm inside knowing that these women are real for me now. I feel hope knowing that they exist for women in their 20’s now. I have spoken on my profile way too many times about how my mother is also a daughter and how her mother was also a daughter. There is a frequency that only women hear and feel heard in, and Varsha has made special ultrasonic speakers with Bad Girl so the rest of the world can experience it. The love, the heartbreak, the stupidity, the laughter, the light at the end of the tunnel, and also the lump in your throat – all very very real. @varsha_bharath03 , take a bow. Thanks for giving us Bad Girl. 🥹 @anjalisivaraman , what a frikkin Ramya you are ♥️ @purpleparrot.makeup – your work was IMPECCABLE Paavs – I grew with her and I didn’t even know it. The acne to glow to dullness. Too real. Lol. You showed such craft and finesse in EVERY frame. @purpleparroteatingcarrot my baby Pounu as an actor also. @saranyaravichandran_offl 🥹♥️ Selvi, you were so heartwarming. @radha_sridhar @vinithramenon @wtfmadhu @varshacasts @varshavrajan @teejayarunasalam and favourite @jackybaai 🔥so many more talented people that put their heart and soul into this. @grassrootfilm_co @anuragkashyap10 @itsamittrivedi being the wind beneath such colourful wings says everything you need to about what it means to have legends trust good art. 🙂 ♥️ Watch it in the theatres.
