Amy Instagram – If you are religious, let’s consider some facts.
*Disclaimer* we are not against any religion, but we encourage critical thinking as all ideas must evolve with the times!

Consider this, deep down, every major religion acknowledges one simple truth: needless violence is wrong.

Let’s break it down:

🌙 Islam
The Qur’an permits eating meat only with compassion. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Whoever is kind to the creatures of God is kind to himself.”

Halal slaughter requires minimizing suffering, and killing for pleasure, waste, or excess is haram.

If you don’t need it? You’re accountable. “Do not cause harm or return harm.” (Hadith).

With this all in mind, can we honestly say that we are eating meat because we “need to” or because we “want to?”

✝️ Christianity
Genesis says God gave humans “every seed-bearing plant and fruit” for food — not animals.

Jesus is never recorded eating meat in the Bible. Compassion and mercy are central Christian values.

Proverbs 12:10: “The righteous care for the needs of their animals.”

Eating animals when you don’t need to? That’s gluttony and cruelty — both sins.

🕉️ Hinduism
Ahimsa (non-violence) is a core tenet. Hurting animals for taste violates dharma.

Cows are considered sacred — but even beyond that, many Hindus believe all life is interconnected.

Karma teaches that harming sentient beings when not necessary brings suffering back to you.

So why do we justify it if we align with any of these religions?

Because religion is often interpreted to match culture; not truth. And in every culture, taste and habit often override ethics.

But if you’re living in abundance, and have access to plant-based foods…
Every religious, moral, and spiritual argument points to one thing:

Harming animals when you don’t need to… isn’t just unkind. It’s unjustifiable. | Posted on 05/Jun/2025 21:02:42
