If I read ‘finely dice 4 onions’ in a recipe – frankly that’s often enough for me to slam the book shut. My spag bol uses a food processor and is ready for the first sizzle in about 4 minutes flat. It also involves bacon so what’s not to love? It’s SHORTCUT SUNDAY! Now, level with me, I can’t be the only one who is afflicted with the ‘if I can’t see it, it doesn’t exist’ gene? Enter the GIANT PAPER ROLL! Everything that is IN the freezer is ON the brown paper. That way, I can work out what I have and what to turn it into for dinner, without standing in front of an open freezer door and slowly turning into a penguin as I chop and change my mind. Kids love these too.
