The strongest move in business isn’t just knowing your worth. It’s honoring those who cleared the path. Every Black entrepreneur today stands on the shoulders of giants who saw their ability and need long before they did!
Your values aren’t just what you believe. They’re what you build with, serve with, and grow with. Let them be your compass when opportunity knocks.
Some chase positions and personal gain, while others create impact. The difference? Understanding that true leadership isn’t about the height of your title but the depth of your influence.
Skills can be taught, but talent and spirit must be discovered. At #indeedfutureworks, sharing why true cultural fit isn’t about finding more of the same – it’s about creating space for innovation to thrive. When we stand on our F.E.E.T. (Freedom to innovate, Excellence in delivery, Everything matters, Time invested to understand), we build cultures that don’t just grow. They transform.

Brilliant metaphor from @sandro_galea: health isn’t just about treating the fish, it’s about changing the water. Because living longer, healthier lives is how we self-actualize and live fully. The water we swim in shapes the life we live. Water is big in our stories, in our faith, in the way we weather storms. Sit with that for a moment, then join us for the full conversation. Link in bio.

@sandro_galea, physician, epidemiologist, and founding dean of the School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis, challenges us to expand our definition of wellness. Health isn’t just about doctors’ visits when we’re sick. It’s the air we breathe, the homes we live in, the water we drink, and the connections we keep. In his book Well, Dr. Galea writes about moving the “Overton Window,” shifting the conversation so that everyone sees health as the world we build together. Because when we change the way we think about health, we change the way we live. Watch the full conversation and dive deeper — link in bio.
