Melanie Lynskey Instagram – I am so so excited about people finally being able to see @griffininsummerfilm! I love this movie. First of all I got to reunite with the angel that is @abbyryderfortson, my Togetherness daughter! She is so SO talented and so kind and I love her and her sweet family. I met some wonderful people and had the best time making this. Owen Teague is as great as I hoped he would be, as an actor and a person. One of the best!! I adore Nicholas our amazing writer/director who crafted such a heartfelt and truly hilarious movie. I loved all of the producers especially the amazing @jab2109. @camimendes and @rachellynnmatthews were amazing, on set and working hard every single day. But most of all, I feel so lucky to have been able to work with @everettblunck – without exaggeration he’s one of the greatest actors I’ve ever worked with. He is nothing like Griffin yet embodied him completely. He surprised me and delighted me every take, it took all I had to not just watch him like a fan when we were acting! Plus he’s just a great human being. What a joy. I had gone through a tough time and felt a little disillusioned when I arrived in Richmond. But being on this set, making this movie, and being with kind people who just wanted to make something great reminded me why I love my job. And getting to see these kids who were so excited and bringing their all to their work filled my heart with hope. Our crew was amazing. I left feeling a million times better. And I love the film.
