For those not up to date, I’ve been a twitcher (bird watcher) for a few years now, and it’s a fav hobby of mine. So when Sean reached out, I jumped at the opportunity!! I couldn’t believe how much I learnt in the 3 hours we wandered Langwarrin Flora and Fauna & I got to know more in detail about the birds that live in and near mighty Frankston.
We spotted 31 species (well Sean did, I think I saw at least 20 đŸ˜‚)
We chatted duck hunting, species we have lost to the area through fragmenting the parks, land clearing, but also had some wonderful stories about species that are thriving, too.
BirdLife Oz do such an amazing job and rely on donations to do their incredible work. You can donate to help save our threatened species and hopefully help protect those before they end up on that list. They deserve better.
The last slide was also the most interesting of the day. It even shocked the bird man himself.
