Their smile is sooo infectious! Wanted to share it with all of you. So at the cake-mixing ceremony, we bumped into a lovely couple we had only seen in videos before. It was Zara who first recognized them and said, “Amma, I want to go say hi.” While I was a little hesitant .. It’s a usual thing! Because I never like stepping into someone’s private space but she taught me a lesson that day on what a huge difference it makes to a regular day. With her innocent confidence, she broke the ice and made a connection that filled the room with smiles and warmth. What touched me even more were the small, thoughtful gestures. Nikhil lifted Zach and brought him closer so I could keep him in sight, while Ziva quietly sat beside him since she didn’t prefer the wine smell around. It was like “have a moment” I’ll lend a hand. And the girl.. Riya! Fan of her infectious smile and values who is even more adorable in person! They didn’t just stop for a quick hello. Every time they walked past, they paused to smile, exchange a few words and make space for the little ones. Simple things maybe, but to me, they spoke volumes. It reflected such natural empathy and genuine warmth.. the kind that doesn’t always come without parenthood, but shines through when it’s truly a part of who you are. It was such a joy to watch the tradition come alive and seeing the nuts soaked, mixed with love, and learning how families and hotels keep this heritage alive in every plum cake. If you have made her anxious by mistake.. next time remember this conversation. 🫢♥️ So.. we were discussing once on how Zara feels when a random person recognise her when she is in the public and she asked me this.. “i feel happy but why is that they ask for a picture?” I said, “I don’t know actually, but i think they want to remember this moment of meeting you” and she be like, “Well, then they could have spent that time talking to me, isn’t it? Cause i love talking. But, now they will only remember asking permission for the picture and my response to it.” I was looking for a suitable words cause i was “awestruck” then she asked me, “ Sometimes i don’t feel like it and i say ‘No’ what if they remember me that way?” I was like, “yes, that’s right ” Sometimes that’s not how i want them to remember us too .. so we try to be nice to them.” And She be like, “Yea, me too!” 🥹😭♥️ Next time, when you bump into us, please say “hi” , interact with a little one and if you wanna take a moment and capture it ..let it naturally flow. As much as selfies are “a love language” it doesn’t really translate all the time. especially for Zara. We don’t want to remember you this way! Do you??
