Jane Goodall Instagram – 🌱✨ A truly inspiring day with Dr. Jane Goodall at Pasadena High School! Speaking to a full auditorium of 1,500 people, Dr. Goodall shared a heartfelt message of hope, resilience, and the power of coming together in difficult times—offering encouragement in the aftermath of the Eaton and Palisades fires.
Hosted by the Pasadena Educational Foundation, Pasadena Unified School District, and our very own #RootsandShootsLA Basecamp, the event was a moving tribute to the firefighters, animal rescuers, and community members who showed incredible courage and compassion. 💚👏
Jane reminded us that out of tragedy can come unity—and that each of us can make a meaningful difference for people, animals, and the planet. 🌍🐾
Before the lecture, local Roots & Shoots groups (including @uhs_rootsandshoots) and community partners showcased their inspiring projects, sparking connection and action. We were also joined by incredible youth activists and influencers, including @greengirlleah (Leah Thomas), @diandramarizet (Diandra Marizet), @iam_samata (Samata Pattinson), @climatediva (Summer Dean), @imkevinjpatel (Kevin Patel), and @browngirl_green (Kristy Drutman), who are all doing amazing work to shape a brighter future. 💫
