What’s #RSYouthCouncil , you ask? Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Youth Council USA (RSYC) brings together inspiring young people from across the USA who are dedicated to making positive change happen in their communities. With projects ranging from pond ecology to education access, each youth leader on the council brings different passions to the table, as well as different experiences to learn from. 🌱💚
 
For example, RSYC member Joshua (shown here with Jane both this year and ten years ago, when they first met) is combating economic disparities through impactful community service. His primary project is addressing diaper poverty, having successfully lobbied to eliminate the diaper tax in Maryland and saving families $12 million annually! 🧷👶 He also leads pop-up pantry initiatives at a local church, providing essential items to underserved families.
