Authored by Juliet Rieden, ‘Quentin Bryce: The Authorised Biography’ charts the trailblazing career and life of Australia’s first female Governor-General.
At an event in Melbourne, I joined Quentin, Juliet and Professor Marcia Langton for a panel discussion, during which we shared many memories and stories of how Quentin has positively impacted people and communities around Australia.
I will always treasure the very poignant moment of having the nation’s first female Governor-General swear me in as Australia’s first female Prime Minister, and the genuine warmth Quentin brought to that day.
