My mom just started baking because she “saw this cool apple cake on Instagram,” but we questioned the recipe. Too much sugar, “you don’t need that with naturally sweet apples.” Okay, hold up – this is going to be a project. Let’s adapt it for the Pam app!
The result is incredibly moist, light and pleasantly sweet. It doesn’t taste like a forbidden dessert, but like a breakfast cake or afternoon snack. That’s what the nutritional values look like too 🤓 If you want the cake to be sweeter, you can add sugar along with the butter and coconut yogurt. Then, even the standard cake eater will love it 🥰🥰🥰🫱🏼🫲🏻
For 1 cake (ca. 10 slices, 100g each)
6 big apples (ca. 1.2kg)
4 eggs
100g butter (or vegan alternative)
100g coconut yogurt
optional: 50g sugar
50g ground almonds
30g wholegrain flour (we used spelt)
1 TL ceylon cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
Per slice
