Just got home from our adventures in Ireland and our hearts are so full! After finishing up shooting Jimmy in West Cork, we made our way to #dublin where we were treated to the most incredible hotel experience by @anantarathemarkerdublin . It was such a beautiful experience… from the views from our room, to the incredible food (@forbes.street for breakfast and dinner was beyond… so good!) to a special walking tour with Derek who told us all about the history of the area. They also have a wonderful tradition at the hotel called the end of day ritual where Derek rings a bell and brings the day to a close by reciting a poem by an Irish poet. He read “Aohd wishes for the cloths of heaven” by W.B. Yeats while we sipped Irish coffees. The afternoon tea called Poetry and Places at the Marker Bar was a special treat as all of the cakes were modeled after different areas in Ireland. Back with my friends both human and feline!!! So happy to be back for season 2 of #mistletoemurders !! Love these folks so SO much! It’s so good to be back ❤️❤️❤️ my heart is bursting!
On my way to the airport for season 2 of #mistletoemurders and I couldn’t be more excited for the joy of reconnecting with my cast and crew and being on set and all of the things. And also, it is so hard leaving my three favorite people in the world. This week I’ve been feeling a bit melancholy about it. I love love love what I do. I especially love love love this show. AND ALSO I miss my precious fam when I’m gone. We always do our best to stay connected but there’s no snuggling and letting them talk as they are going to bed, or having them reveal the things they only do when I’m driving them and we aren’t making eye contact. There’s no nightly card games or french braiding Hannah’s hair, or brainstorming Micah’s latest movie idea. When I’m away, our convos are more intentional and sometimes I really miss the convos that just happen because we are occupying the same space. This stuff is hard. People ask me all the time if you can have it all, and I always say- yeah. You can do all the things, but sacrifice is always a part of it. You can’t ever have it ALL, all at the same time and that’s the truth. I hugged my teary eyed kids this morning. Hannah said “I don’t want you to go”. Micah said “I’m gonna miss you so much, but I hope you have the best time and I can’t wait to hear about all the fun you’re having on set”. So off I go, to a very happy place for me feeling all of the everything all at once 😭😭🥹🥹❤️❤️🥰🥰 #workingmoms

And – a fun little throwback to Micah’s epic birthday party. He created a live action role play mystery adventure for his friends complete with full character backstories, a quest for the adventurers, twist and turns, cyphers and of course, costumes costumes costumes. As you can see, the adults were tapped to play supporting characters. Everyone fully committed to this brilliant labor of love. 💕
