Christina Pascucci Instagram – I am so humbled by this recognition. Thank you to Commanding General, BG Darrin Bender, for the shout out during your speech yesterday! And thank you for your leadership @thecalguard
I was brought on days before the fires broke out as part of a new team with a mission to support Cal Guard communications in modern, innovative, and meaningful ways.
At the onset of the L.A. fires, the team was pulled in to support real-time emergency communications and the results kind of blew everyone away. On social alone, our small team of 3-5 people helped the Guard quickly reach over 1.5 million people.
The result was rapid, high-impact communications that cut through the noise — getting vital updates to the public, reinforcing the state’s emergency response messaging, and showing Californians the real work being done on the ground. It proved that this kind of communications capability is essential.
Thank you COL Brandon Hill and Carl Trujillo for your vision and leadership. It’s an honor to serve.
