Alessandra Ferri Instagram – Patrick Armand to direct the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera from Season 2025/26
Designated Ballet Director Alessandra Ferri has appointed Patrick Armand as the new director of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera from 1 September 2025 on. Patrick Armand has extensive international experience, both as a dancer and as a teacher. He has taught at the Royal Ballet London and Royal Ballet School, National Ballet of Canada and Canada’s National Ballet School and at the Teatro alla Scala and La Scala Academy Ballet School among others. In 2012, he assumed the position of the San Francisco Ballet School’s associate director. In 2017, Patrick Armand was named director of the San Francisco Ballet School.
