Briana Evigan Instagram – Akashinga. The Brave Ones. One man, Damien Mander, set out to protect the wildlife in Africa. He saw the poachers, the destruction, the loss. He knew force would not win. So he turned to those with the most to lose—the women.
Women once cast aside, now warriors for the land. They patrol the bush, armed and unstoppable. They have taken back 13 million non park acres, not with fear, but with strength, wisdom, and the will to protect.
Akashinga does more than guard the land. They bring water, medical clinics, education, and opportunity. They unite tribes once divided. They fight for the future, for the wild, for all of us. We joined them. Walked beside them. Saw the work, the discipline, the purpose. Dawn patrol with the warriors opened our eyes. This fight is real. The land, the people, the future—it all matters. I am proud to stand with them. Proud to share this with my daughter.
