I’m graduating today with my classmates from @blavatnikschool and @stantonyscollege in a ceremony that’s barely changed since 1669. If you’d told the girl leaving Muswellbrook High with a half-finished HSC that she’d end up here, she wouldn’t have believed you for a second. This year has stretched me, humbled me and introduced me to friends I’ll love for the rest of my life. I’ve been tested in ways I didn’t see coming and found parts of myself I didn’t know were there. Standing here I keep thinking about how Oxford has survived almost a thousand years of change and turbulence throughout history, holding tight to the idea that learning matters above everything else. And yet that timeline is tiny next to my Gamilaroi heritage… tens of thousands of years of dancing, teaching, caring, and surviving on Country. To move between those worlds and to be a link in both is something I don’t take for granted. Today I just feel grateful. Truly, I might be the luckiest girl in the world ❤️ (photo credit: @shot.by.martin on a very rainy Oxford day)

When I started in TV, I stayed silent about the racism I experienced. I thought that was just how it was. Speaking up takes courage, but it’s how we make things better for ourselves and for others. Reporting racism or bullying isn’t about causing trouble; it’s about standing up for what’s right. If you’re experiencing bullying or racism online, report it, don’t ignore it. It’s confidential, anonymous, and it matters. Learn how to report on @snapchat 🔗 #Snapchat #ReportItDontIgnoreIt @snapchat @projectrockit #ad

London friends in Oxford 🥰 thanks for organising angel @jessdry9 (a stranger took this photo and we were all mildly concerned he was going to steal the phone, my plan was to throw my phone at him while we chased)
Sometimes life catches you in the moments in between. The transitions between jobs or homes or countries. @boneybrooke is right in the thick of transition, from her coveted role at The Today show, to the hallowed halls of Oxford University, she’s right where she needs to be, which is somewhere between what home used to be and what it will be in the future. Join me on this week’s episode of Darren Palmer’s Almost Home to hear Brooke’s take on what makes home feel like home when you’re in the in between. Listen and Watch on Spotify, or listen wherever you get your podcasts – and remember to like and subscribe as there are more great conversations to come. Darren Palmer’s Almost Home is brought to you each week by @sharkhomeau
As the only guest of Darren Palmer’s Almost Home that is in between homes, my chat with @boneybrooke goes really deep. Obviously we discuss her transition from journalist to student at Oxford University but we also discuss things close to her heart like having kids and expanding her family. This was one of the more moving parts of our conversation in between the laughter of course. Went to Summer Bay for lunch and one of us got mistaken for a waiter. Guess we’d better stick to Yabbie Creek 😂🫢❤️

This might be my favourite park in the whole world. Honestly, is there anything better than walking somewhere beautiful without purpose or pressure? ❤️
