Who else is starting to feel the nerves? 😳
If you’re gearing up for your first race and you’re also feeling butterflies, don’t panic, it’s totally normal and you’re certainly not on your own.
Every time I turn up at the start-line of a race, I feel incredibly nervous. It’s ridiculous really, there’s no pressure – I’m not going to win and the only person I need to make proud is myself. However the combination of excitement, the hope to do well and the knowledge that I’ve trained so hard for so long is there at the back of my mind – and ultimately, like everyone else, I just want it to go to plan on the big day. 🤩
The good news is that the minute you start running, those nerves vanish and you can focus on the job in hand: To have the best day enjoying your lap of honour after all that training. 😍
