Sweaty Betty Ambassador 💙 Since January my training has been building up to the TCS London marathon. I am beyond excited to be back on the course for 2025. It’s the 10th time I’ve run it and I’d love those tough runs over the cold winter months to pay off on the big day. Every week I have done 3 runs: an easy one, a tempo session and a long run. This reel is an example of those sessions. I love the marathon – it’s my favourite day of the year and one thing I’ve learnt is you need to nail your outfit- you don’t want clothes that you haven’t tested…you don’t want anything that will chafe, ride up, rub, bounce about, make you overheat….the list goes on. Anyway, as an ambassador for @sweatybetty, I’ve been testing some amazing running outfits. Now to work out which will be my fave for the big day itself. Marathon incoming…. #10daystogo 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼🏃♂️ Who else is starting to feel the nerves? 😳 If you’re gearing up for your first race and you’re also feeling butterflies, don’t panic, it’s totally normal and you’re certainly not on your own. Every time I turn up at the start-line of a race, I feel incredibly nervous. It’s ridiculous really, there’s no pressure – I’m not going to win and the only person I need to make proud is myself. However the combination of excitement, the hope to do well and the knowledge that I’ve trained so hard for so long is there at the back of my mind – and ultimately, like everyone else, I just want it to go to plan on the big day. 🤩 The good news is that the minute you start running, those nerves vanish and you can focus on the job in hand: To have the best day enjoying your lap of honour after all that training. 😍 Good luck and happy running. 💙 #runpod #runner #runpodrunclub #loverunning #marathontips @londonmarathon 📸 : @joseph_branston @womensrunninguk
