The lyrics of this song captures everything in my heart for this post. Two things happened yesterday as we walked. First, I absolutely love the boldness of everyone that came for the walk, especially the GenZs. Their love for God, the boldness and excitement to share the gospel, and lead people to Christ, the way everyone took their time to talk to people not just sharing flyers, It was a beautiful sight to behold, it made my heart smile and I imagined God smiling down from heaven so pleased. Another beautiful thing was listening to people share their salvation story so vulnerably. They shared the things they should be “hiding/ covering or ashamed of,” the bad and ugly things, just they know we all had a past. So they know that there is absolutely no sin God can not forgive and there is nobody God can not save. I also found myself sharing my story with some guys, how I used to wash people’s clothes and clean people’s gutters for money. Just so they know that there’s no “condition/situation” God cannot turn around and that God has such great plans for all of us. A moment ago, they wanted pictures and videos with me, they were restless and seemed to be in a hurry but after I shared all that I did, they asked to lead them in prayers to surrender their lives to Christ. I know it is not just the story, it was God pulling them to Himself and it made me grateful to Him again for my journey and for giving me a story. Your story, no matter how bad or ugly is a weapon in the hands of God if you let Him use it. Something about how God miraculously brought everyone who came out for the purity walk today makes it extra special for me. Only God understands the depth of my gratitude for today’s Purity walk. God is indeed gathering His remnants, he is beckoning on all of us, please respond to His call. Today, we walked again for PURITY. Purity of heart, purity of bodies/minds, purity in government, purity in education, purity in entertainment, purity at workplaces, purity on the streets, purity in Nigeria, purity in the nations of the earth. While many think that purity is just sexual purity, I’ve always said that purity is beyond sexual purity. We need purity in every systems and works of life, in all areas of life. That’s why we say purity is a life style. I don’t want to write an epistle today, if you missed my last post from the last purity walk, please go check it out and read my caption. I THANK GOD for the boldness to do this walk and for walking with us, I thank God for giving us utterance and helping us lead people to Christ, we weren’t just giving them flyers, we told them about Jesus, we talked to them about purity, we prayed with them. Something about talking to teenagers is medicine to my soul. I can’t explain it, but it feels like I’m in touch with my younger self again, and she finds healing afresh when I do so. I absolutely loved sharing my story with the girls and talking to them about purity.
