Going to @surf.ranch last weekend was a bucket list moment. Despite the rain, we were all smiles. The staff at Surf Ranch were so sweet, talented and took such great care of us. The Airstreams were super cozy, the food was delicious, and the waves were, well, perfect (although intimidating too!) I’m forever grateful for the legend @raimanaworld taking me under his wing and pushing me to be brave and trust myself. Listen to his genuine stoke as he cheers me on in the video. “Trust yourself” and “I love you!” he shouts at me. I went from a 10ft soft top to a 7’2” real board by the end of the weekend. He dropped me into the barrel and got me shampooed 🤣 I am proud of myself, because it does take courage to get out there on those CT3s! Thank you to @briannacope for always firing me up. “Are you PUMPED!?” I can’t wait to keep improving my form so I can keep up with Julianne 🔥 And to my beautiful friend @juleshough THANK YOU for inviting me to be a part of such a special weekend and such an extraordinary group of humans. Today, we’re releasing a conversation that I had over on Substack with my good friend Kelly Noonan Gores. Kelly is a filmmaker, author, and host of The HEAL with Kelly Podcast. You may also know her as the creative force behind the documentary of the same name, and its eponymously named companion book, which explore the mind-body connection and how awareness, emotion, and presence can be powerful catalysts for healing.
