We’re typically told to wait until 12 weeks to share the news of a pregnancy… “Just in case” But for so many women that means the most scary and uncertain weeks are also the most silent…And if loss does happen we’re left grieving in the dark feeling like we can’t talk about it, or that we should be “grateful no one knew.” Everyone’s journey is different, and I truly respect how each woman chooses to walk hers. But for me even though my pregnancy ended in miscarriage it still matters. It’s part of my story, my heart, my hope, and my prayer that one day I’ll get to hold my healthy baby in my arms. The exact child God always meant for Max & I to have. To the women walking this road too, I am SO sorry you’re going through this. You’re not alone. I’m standing with you, cheering for you, and praying that one day your dream of holding your baby comes true💫 I’ve always shared the good, the bad, and the messy parts of my life with ya’ll, and I don’t plan to stop now. This chapter has been scary, lonely, and absolutely heartbreaking… but I know there are incredible blessings ahead. I love you lil one♥️ #miscarriage
Papa, It doesn’t even feel real typing this. I’m going to miss you so much, and I feel so blessed to have had 28 years of being loved by you on this earth. In those 28 years, you taught me so much..how a husband should cherish his wife, to never stop learning or lose my curiosity, that if you’re too little to weigh down the seat on a tractor you just throw a cousin on your lap and get to driving, to have a relationship with God, to always, always, always have fun in life, and to see the world. Looking back, I can’t believe I get to say I’ve been to places like Paris, London, and Hawaii with my grandpa. Who gets to say that!? I still remember the day you and Grammy called Colton and me, and we all flew to meet in Dallas just to have lunch before flying back home to St Louis & Arkansas. That kind of spontaneity and lust for life is something I’ll never forget about you. I’ll forever cherish these past few years with you here in Florida. Seeing you every Thursday for Family Dinner and knowing you got to know my husband so well is something I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life. I know you’re in heaven now, looking down on us with a glass of scotch and a big grin finally getting to sit with God and ask all the questions you’ve been so curious about your whole life. I can’t wait for the day I get to wrap my arms around you and give you the biggest hug again. I love you so much. Until we meet again, – K.O.
Happy 32nd birthday to my best friend in the whole wide world!!! Max, you’re sassy, stubborn, and utterly hilarious and I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my days laughing(and eye rolling) with anyone else. You pretend to be all tough, but you’re truly the sweetest husband, the most playful dog dad, and I already know you’re going to be the most adorable future baby daddy one day. I Love you forever even when you leave half used paper towels on the kitchen counter daily and tongue scrape so aggressively every morning that I can hear your gag across the house😂♥️ I hope today I can make you feel half as special as you make me feel everyday. xoxo, Your adoring wifey♾️

Bailey update: Ya’ll know my dogs are my world and the past 72 hours have been a scare. Tuesday night Max and I flew to Georgia for a little vacation. We’d barely settled in before getting a call that Bailey was extremely sick. Our sitter rushed her to the vet, and they found what looked like a foreign body that needed emergency surgery. We hopped in a rental and drove nine hours straight to the emergency vet while she was being prepped, but thankfully an ultrasound showed whatever it was had passed. (We unfortunately don’t know what the object was.) It did however cause a lot of damage to her esophagus and intestines. We finally have her home now and she’s starting to slowly get a little of her spunk back. We’ve been glued to her side, giving her lots of snuggles, surprising her with her first stuffy, and celebrating every wiggle butt like it’s a miracle. We’re beyond thankful our favorite bundle of chaos is okay… and I think it’s safe to say Bella’s just as happy to have her sister back🐾 It was so scary to have something happen to our dog while we were out of town. We can’t thank our dog sitter, the technicians, and vets enough for saving our baby. Hug your pups a little tighter tonight, I know I will.♥️
