There are certain dates you never forget in life. Your birthday, Christmas Day, perhaps a wedding anniversary? But this is one date that is truly engraved on my heart, and will be remembered forever more. Six years ago today my GP, the NHS, Charing Cross Hospital, my brilliant consultant Mr David Peterson & his expert team, gave me another chance of a healthy, brain tumour free life.
May 1st. Goodbye ‘Burt the B*stard’ (I gave my tumour a name).
Forever indebted for the kindness, care & professionalism they showed me. Mr Peterson is a legend in my book. And I know he is for many others too.
I fully appreciate not everyone has the same outcome & my thoughts & prayers are with those affected by this cruel disease. Sending love. To the two lovely ladies I spoke to recently (you know who you are), going through something similar with surgeries this week. Massive gentle hugs to you & your families ❤️
