I bl**dy love it!! But this is one date that is truly engraved on my heart, and will be remembered forever more. Six years ago today my GP, the NHS, Charing Cross Hospital, my brilliant consultant Mr David Peterson & his expert team, gave me another chance of a healthy, brain tumour free life. May 1st. Goodbye ‘Burt the B*stard’ (I gave my tumour a name). Forever indebted for the kindness, care & professionalism they showed me. Mr Peterson is a legend in my book. And I know he is for many others too. I fully appreciate not everyone has the same outcome & my thoughts & prayers are with those affected by this cruel disease. Sending love. To the two lovely ladies I spoke to recently (you know who you are), going through something similar with surgeries this week. Waiting for my horse to come in 🫣 A lovely way to spend a sunny Friday afternoon supporting a brilliant charity @nordoffrobbins at the races @sandownparkracecourse. Thank you to Euan Lawson & the Simkins team for the kind invitation & also their company’s passion for supporting this music therapy charity. Well done to all the supporters, managers, artists, bands & volunteers of Nordoff & Robbins (so many people from the music industry there) raising an impressive amount of money in one afternoon. I say an impressive amount, but like any charity the fundraising has to continue to keep up the incredible work they do with young people, individuals & families through music & therapy. Over 270,000 of you on Insta & Facebook viewed this coat – with hundreds of gorgeous comments too. Now I like to think it’s this uplifting little number that garnered so many views… not the fact it looked like I was about to tumble into the River Thames & get a soaking 🤭😅 You look like an innocent bunch but I’m now not so sure 😳🤣 Whichever it is, it’s a mighty fine jacket to lift the spirits on a grey damp day. It’s big and we converted the loft too How many coats/jackets do you have? Over 25 and some of them are well over 25 years old. If I love it, I keep it. I also need some variety for filming/ work Do you buy many from your local charity shop? yes yes yes. I need good quality bright coats for filming outside, I often buy and then donate them back a few years later Will we see Coatmas 2026? In all honesty, I’m not so sure. You’ve seen nearly all my wardrobe so maybe I’ll skip it for a year… who knows… BTS are Shacky, family members, radio producers, film crew, researchers etc etc who kindly film me prancing around in a coat or 25. Either one of mine or one I’m modelling from my local charity shop (hoping it will sell).
