Wishing the happiest of happy birthdays to my Nana, who turned 88 today! Of all the blessings I’ve been gifted in my life, she is one of the greatest. I don’t know who or what I would be without her love and endless support. I thank God everyday that she is still with us and my sons get to experience the love of Nana and get to love her back. Nana, you are one of my absolute favorite miracles. Thank you for loving me like you do, with your whole heart. I love you more. Always and forever. 💫❤️
#Hallmark movie or @TaylorSwift song? See whether you get more right than @NikDeloach! (Plus a special cameo from @Tyler_Hynes and @HunterKing). Follow the link in bio for the full video.
Caregiving and shame! Guys this is such a big part of caring for someone who is sick. We’ve all had those moments we’ve all been there! Your loved one does something that either enrages you or scares you and you react. Then the shame spiral hits. We spend the rest of day with our heads hanging low feeling terrible. As if we don’t have enough to feel terrible about already staring at the person you love who is sick. What if we can stop those feelings mid way. What if we can identify what made us snap, and then spend some time focusing inward and showing ourselves self compassion. You’re doing the best that you can in impossible situations-one after the next. That’s all Alzheimer’s is. Impossibly hard things-one day after the next for a decade. (Or more). Through Covid, two strikes, and horrendous wild fires, our city and its people have been through so much. This is why we have joined STAY in LA, to bring production back to Los Angeles. When production stays in LA, everyone in our community benefits. Small businesses, restaurants, salons, hospitality, and especially our families benefit. We can’t think of a better way to love our neighbors, than to fight for their ability to make a living for their families… and also for our own families. We always say we’re better together and yesterday that looked like standing with our industry colleagues and doing it with our kids because what affects us, affects them. We reconnected with old friends from set and class, made new ones, listened, learned, ate, played, and painted (well those last three were the kids). But mostly, we rallied to share what matters most about what we not only love to do, but what is literally our livelihood. We love you, LA. Megan and Nikki @stayinla2025 #theresnoplacelikehome

This interview on our podcast was with Dr. Renee Harmon. She details how her husband who had no family history of Alzheimer’s (and was also a doctor)may have been been diagnosed with it even earlier had he not had such a healthy lifestyle. Do we believe this friends? This seems like a comment neurologists are just guessing with. Drop a comment and let us know your thoughts. This disease is still SO misunderstood and complex. I have faith we are getting closer, and am thankful there is as much awareness as there is…but we still have such a long way to go. Full Podcast avail on @applepodcasts and @spotify @nikdeloach
