Shenae Grimes-Beech Instagram – BIG GIRL ROOM MAKEOVER 😭 // My 7 year old’s been asking us for a room update for a minute and we used the Thanksgiving break to make it happen finally! Her requests were:
• Her favorite colors: black, teal, purple and leopard
• A bigger bed: we opted for a full to allow space for cartwheels and a reading nook
• A black canopy for a spooky princess bed
I worked with the white pieces she had already and some accessories so we didn’t need to swap everything out and I think all of her bold ideas came together brilliantly to create a space that is perfect for her.
As you know, I’m not a color girl myself so this was a fun challenge. Stuck with a rule of 3 — 3 pops of a color made it make sense in the room — and a firm belief that leopard is a neutral that goes with absolutely everything!
