Recent moments from my camera roll 💕 from November to December – decorations are up! Not that it makes a massive difference. It always looks like Christmas at our house anyway 🤣 xx 1. Meet the tree! We usually wait for the first weekend in December but as the 1st was a Monday, we went for last day of November instead. 2. Well, do you? 3. With the incredible @jacindaardern at her film screening last night which I was asked to host 🩷 Prime Minister is out in cinemas this Friday and I recommend it. It feels very positive to humanise people in roles of leadership and I’m in awe of all Jacinda has carried. 4. Raven in her favourite spot. She purrs as soon as she’s up there. 5. Wearing my fabulous @fumbalinas kaftan and singing ‘Christmas (Time)’ at St. James Piccadilly with the most amazing gospel choir (@thelcgc) last week. Did you know 1 in 3 children in London lives in poverty. I’m always happy to support charity initiatives to combat the issue, but it’s so shocking it’s a fact in the first place 6. How sweet (and brave) was this little robin who joined me for coffee with a friend. 7. With Tim Thomqs who I met at a gorgeous event celebrating 80 years of @careintuk. Tim is notable for two things – he was a recipient of a care package as a child and spoke movingly about opening it up with his siblings and how exciting it was to receive it, and how special it made him feel. He also wrote the theme tune to Rainbow! 🌈 amazing all round 8. Day out @zsllondonzoo 🦒 with my smallest two. So perfect 9. With the Mr. looking dapper at the Carol concert 8. A sparkly @nadinemerabi number for singing with @sombr at Koko ✨ 9. Feeling disproportionately happy with my hastily thrown together and surprisingly coordinated school run outfit 10. Radiohead! I loved it and it’s really stayed with me 11. Wearing my cat as a scarf for the foreseeable 🐈⬛🧣 not sure what ET thinks..! This is a @mini_rodini sweater for kids that I bought in the largest size available and it’s MINE.

Sometimes there’s a sprinkle of serendipity that really ties a creative project together. Releasing ‘Perimenopop’ as autumn arrives and the leaves change colour is absolutely perfect and it feels so right. This 8th album was born out of many things… looking back to when Murder and its friends were first released with Read My Lips in 2001, the relationships I started around that time which have given me so much support and fun, thinking over the chapters of your life which you pass through consciously and unconsciously, and what gifts come with getting older. Knowing yourself, feeling a little more fearless, and understanding what magic lies in everyday joy.. these are the senses I have poured into song. I was also inspired my many people around me. Incredible women I’ve spoken to for the Spinning Plates podcast, brilliant bold artists both older and younger who blaze a trail, creatives who I love, and the wonderful friends and family I have in my life. Pop – I’ve always loved you, but as the seasons change you’ve really allowed me to celebrate the things that matter to me. Here’s to my Perimenopop Autumn. Oh, I found my first conkers today, too.
‘Perimenopop’ is out now 🥳 A little slice of disco-optimistic pop is now yours! A lot of love has gone into making this record 🩷 and she has her own merch now too! You can get your full ‘Perimenopop’ fit via the link in my bio xx
