The rain in Gaza is flooding tents, soaking shelters and destroying the only belongings that Palestinian people have.
It is more than devastating. Palestinians have been surviving through a genocide, through continuous bombardment, homes and community crumbling into rubble, famine and starvation, a complete destruction of health infrastructure. And now, the rain is destroying and dampening any refuge or shelter that existed.
Our partners are doing everything they can, but in the face of such destruction, it is harder than ever to create conditions that can keep people safe or give them the chance to heal.
At least 347 people, including 136 children, have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire was declared, while Israel has continued to block aid and desperately needed medical supplies.
We call on the international community to act, and to hold Israel’s Government accountable for war crimes.
