What an honour to officially become an ambassador for @savechildrenuk ! It is a privilege to be contributing to the fight for a fairer world for children, with such committed humanitarians. We came together in community last night for the first Save The Children carol concert, to raise money for the vital work the charity continues to do. Update on how much was raised to come! Christmas can be such a challenging time for children and families and the cognitive dissonance that descends on the sense of our priorities is very real. The images and messaging we receive is deeply at odds with some of the horrific realities in our world that affect children and it’s so important to be conscious of that. It’s a privilege to have a platform to shout from the rooftops that children deserve childhoods. Every generation lets the next one know what they are willing to let them accept. There are so many violations of children’s rights in our world and I will never let my own children think that any of these violations are what I expected them to accept.
