In her career spanning over a decade, she has been very intentional, choosing roles that challenge stereotypes, amplify women’s narratives and push the industry into new creative territories. In her 2025 high-energy, female-led action-comedy, Gingerrr, she delved into a role she had never played before, which was extremely challenging; however, she wanted to make it relatable and authentic. So, she watched films, researched with her director and went over the script several times to help her prepare for her character. To understand the business of acting, Ogunmola trained at the Royal Arts Academy. Now with over 100 films to her name, she has honed her acting skills, but Ogunmola says she isn’t there yet; she is still evolving. As Nollywood evolves, she would like to serve as its ambassador.
