Jessie Graff Instagram – When i was little, i climbed everything. My poor mom has an absolute phobia of heights, but rather than try to hold me back, she walked under me with her arms spread wide, ready to catch if I fell. She taught me how to check the strength of a branch before stepping on it, to clear my landing area, and know how to fall safely. 40 years later, she’s still my best life guard, reminding me to check the depth of the water under me. And what’s even more amazing is how at age 73, she’s choosing to face her own fears, one baby step at a time! I love when her gut reaction tells me she can’t, and then a few minutes later, she tells me she wants to try anyway!
Anyone else taking baby steps to conquer a lifelong fear? Extra thanks to @spartanracecroatia and @visithvar for making this adventure possible! Let’s DEFINITELY do it again next year!
