Katie Aselton Instagram – I hadn’t seen a film that showed teens the way I’ve gotten to know them through my kids. They are by and large a thoughtful, existentially confused, sad but silly and hopeful bunch. Not petulantly slamming doors or obsessed with romantic indiscretion as some Young Adult shows would have us believe, but more in search of that deeper, mostly platonic connection to each other and the world.
I wrote THEIR TOWN with this intention. And under @katieaselton’s direction it became something bigger. And much of that is due to @chosenjacobs and our daughter @itsoraduplass in the lead roles. They are, frankly, the heart of the film. And they are unreal.
