Ive spent more days than not on the mats since i was 4 years old. Today was a special one. I got to train hard, feeling 100% postpartum, next to my husband, while my daughter watches. When i didnt think it could get any better, me and Saylor got to watch daddy get his brown belt! Its so cool how martial arts has shaped me into who i am today and now its such a big part of our family! Super grateful for this life with @kycerm 🤎🤎🤎🤎

Of course everyone is different, but I am a professional athlete so baselines might also be different. This was my first time back on the mats in 10 months and I felt great. Things that I think have me to have a great postpartum recovery so far.. Working out my entire pregnancy. I did a mix of heavy lifting, cardio, boxing and walking up until 2 days before delivery.i worked out 6 days a week because if I stopped moving my body. I would actually feel worse mentally and physically. pelvic floor, exercise exercises, and PT. I did basic pelvic floor exercises 2-3 days a week my entire pregnancy. Super basic 10 minute routines. I also went to a pelvic floor PT starting around 28 weeks where they did exercises and internal work they really taught me how to breathe correctly and how to push for delivery. eating healthy. I obviously enjoyed many treats throughout pregnancy, but I tried to prioritize protein and Whole Foods. And drink a gallon of water per day. Positive mindset. I refused to complain about being pregnant or consume any content like that. I tried my best to scroll past videos of people complaining about how hard pregnancy is. I thought of pregnancy as a time to build strength and rest injuries rather than a setback. I was just so thankful for the privilege to experience this. I’m excited to keep building and see where I can go from here
