Lota Chukwu Instagram – “Lota, why are you always running?” “Lota, are you training for a marathon?” Well, indeed I am!!
I wanted to run in the 2025 marathon but thanks to a busted Achilles in 2024 and getting bedridden, all I ended up running was my mouth. I’m used to doing hard things, but this is probably the hardest one I’m embarking on because why am I being taught a lot else in the process???
From overcoming injuries and going back to a 5k base training without shame, to a 10k training, to training and then running my first half marathon to getting here; I’d to say I’ll be running a marathon this year, but I’d rather say “I’ll be running my FIRST marathon this year.
Also, it’s been such a pleasure meeting the running community in Lagos. Such a special and wonderful experience. Grateful for this entire process. Truly.
