72kg → 60kg… effort was made and struggle was real 😮💨 Incase you’re curious, here’s what I did: 1. Lifting heavy (slow with good form— don’t overdo it, getting a PT is recommended— my PT @benik_varenik is free and effective but you need to love negative reinforcement 🥴) 2. Cardio but make it fun. I didn’t get into it right away because breastfeeding was such a chore (understatement) but once I started slowing down at month 8, I picked up the pace with pickleball and badminton! I also made it a point to just take the stairs, be okay with parking a little further and walking, and just taking those extra steps whenever I can. 3. My diet was protein-focused and I was not afraid of enjoying healthy fats🧈🥑🥩— super important for hormone function, metabolism and recovery. I wasn’t shedding weight insanely fast but it was a steady decline until plateauing at 60kg when I started building my booty. I didn’t restrict my calories too much because cortisol also inhibits weight loss— had to balance my happy eating versus healthy habits. No shortcuts, just plain hard work. Drilled it into my lifestyle so I won’t yo-yo. The REAL secret sauce? Get a supportive partner to get through this with you.
