Somehow the day has come and gone. I barely know where my phone is in the house. Never in time to take a photo (but there you are taking better photos of our growing children than I ever could.) Wrapping paper is carefully applied and taped before being ripped and thrown away. Meals are cooked, demolished and cleaned in the blink of an eye. We laugh til we cry and we look for batteries we don’t have and try to call our families and tell them how much we love them. This time of year feels like an avalanche and it’s all consuming and then somehow it’s gone again. But in the midst of it all you somehow manage to find the perfect gifts and keep the magic alive for our girls. I’m in awe of how easy you make it look. After being away for so long you come home and make it feel like you’ve never been away. Thank you for another magical Christmas @patrickjadams

My 40th birthday was definitely one for the books. I cannot express how grateful I am to everyone who planned. Showed up. Cooked. Photographed. And most of all loved me. Cheers to my bday twin and queen @ladyluofthewolves who is underrepresented in this vid because she was working so hard and watching her babes. Thank you to @cherylpickles for the most insane home cooked meal I’ve ever had. To @arrri_b for the beautiful hand drawn friggin T shirts! To @kaitjoseph and @maxmagpie for the laughs, adventures, games and cartwheels galore. To @saaaaaaaaaaraaaaaaaaaaah for being my long time bestie and always showing up with love. The biggest thanks goes to my partner and the most amazing human I’ve ever met @patrickjadams who knew just what I wanted, Gave me the camera to start experimenting, drove our camper van two days during his shoot just to be there in person and brought our girls so we could be a family in the middle of it all. I love you so much and I’m so beyond grateful for everything that you do and have done to make this life an adventure of goodness and love. Here comes a new decade and a whole new human to go with it.

It’s difficult to express the experience of reading #playworld by @adamrosswriter There are novels that take you wholly into another time, another place, another human and allow you to look around from within as if it was your life written on the page. The ache and loneliness of childhood you didn’t live, the meeting points of New York City that are at once evidence of the complete randomness of the universe AND kismet. A chance to walk around a decade into which I was born but couldn’t possibly understand. Except, that throughout this book there were so many moments I found myself nodding along. Recognizing someone I’ve never met and feeling a recognition of my own self in the process. If you don’t get what I’m saying, thats cool. I just highly recommend this book. Enjoy.
