“This show reflects a lifetime of influences and my evolving understanding of Indian fashion,” says Tarun Tahiliani.

Unfolding in three segments, the collection journeyed through Hindu India expressed in drape, Islamic influences through rich embroidery and handwork, and British structure through tailoring.

A reflective pause with Nehru’s words on India’s tryst with destiny posed a deeper question of freedom.

“For me, freedom is stepping away from others’ expectations and embracing who we are collectively,” Tarun shares.

The second half brought a bold, contemporary expression, where textile, tailoring, and craft merged into a language that is distinctly Indian yet global, instinctive, and expressive with OTT.

Held at the British Residency in Hyderabad, the site reflects European structure shaped by Indian craftsmanship, a testament to cultural exchange, mirroring Tarun Tahiliani’s design philosophy over three decades.

The show closed with Samarabadi influences and modern couture drapes, blending global fabrics with Indian drape, corsetry, and craftsmanship, creating a confident vision for men and women alike.
