This International Women’s Day, I’m joining @thecirclengo , to call for URGENT mobilisation of funds to support grassroots women’s rights organisations everywhere!
As the world is becomes exponentially unstable, collective action is needed now more than ever.
The statistics are staggering.
1 in 3 women globally will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. Yet billions of dollars are channelled into anti-rights whilst funding for gender equality is under threat.
THIS MUST CHANGE.
As a proud global feminist, I stand in solidarity with the 1 in 3 women facing gender-based violence.
At @thecirclengo , we work with extraordinary women-led grassroots organisations doing vital work, from creating safe spaces for survivors of violence, to counselling, therapeutic support and much more.
I can’t urge you enough, whatever your means, to consider making a donation this IWD to The Circle’s #MakeAStandFor1in3 appeal in support of these women and girls on the frontlines of violence.
