When I started my real estate business in New York City, I was invisible to every man in the room. They didn’t take me seriously, they didn’t invite me to the big meetings, and they sure didn’t see me as competition. I could’ve let that crush me, but instead, I used it to my advantage.
I listened when they spoke. I watched how they did business. And I worked twice as hard in silence. The same men who ignored me could no longer overlook me as their strongest competitor.
So here’s my advice to every woman today: If they underestimate you, let them. Use it as fuel. Stay sharp, stay hungry, and keep showing up until they can’t ignore you anymore.
