St. Louis deserves a leader who is built different. That’s why I’m running to represent Missouri’s 1st District in Congress. We need a fighter who will lower costs, protect our communities, and make life fairer. I’ll be that fighter. Join us: coribush.org
As I told St. Louis Public Radio: “If St. Louis knows one thing about me, whether you agree with all of my policies or not. You know I’m a fighter.” I’m running for Congress because families across Missouri’s First deserve results. Too many people in St. Louis are facing an impossible choice of paying bills or putting food on the table. We need a fighter who answers to the people, not billionaires who rig the rules in their favor. We need a representative that leads with courage, not bought-off politicians who wait for permission. 📝 @jasonrosenbaum @stlpublicradio
Equality is not a privilege. It is a right. It is the law of the land and 28th amendment—and today, we claim it. My statement on @POTUS’ historic recognition of Equal Rights Amendment.

I officially filed to run for Congress today! I walked into Jefferson City today surrounded by everyday St. Louisans who believe in what we’re building together. I’m so ecstatic, y’all! Now, onto the ultimate goal: continue to fight for a healthier, safer, and more affordable St. Louis for all of us. Election Day: August 4, 2026 💜 #CoriForUs
The end of the St. Louis Public Library’s hotspot lending program represents a loss for our public libraries and for our community as a whole. The heavily used program played a crucial role in expanding internet access for our neighbors, students, and seniors. This program is just one of the many services provided by our libraries that must be protected and fully funded so that they can continue to serve as community gathering places for the people of St. Louis. I understand how important it is to fully fund our community’s libraries and other public services. While I represented Missouri’s 1st District, my colleagues and I introduced Resolution Recognizing the Human Rights to Utilities, to affirm that access to safe, reliable, and affordable water, sanitation, electricity, heating, cooling, broadband, and public transit are all basic human rights that are necessary for healthy communities. I also worked with our local libraries to develop ‘Congress in your Neighborhood,’ my initiative to be as reachable as possible to my constituents. Spaces that were provided by the St. Louis Public Libraries and St. Louis County Libraries allowed my team to staff constituent service desks that met our neighbors where they are and provide help with federal agencies, immigration assistance, tax resources, obtaining federal documents, securing passports, military service academy nominations, and more. It is especially disappointing to see this free service end at a time when everyday people struggle to afford basic necessities and the cost of internet and telecommunications services continue to rise. When I’m back in office, I’ll fight for our libraries and public programs. We’ll ensure that we properly fund our libraries so they can continue to play an essential role in our communities and provide services to the people who rely on them.
One of the realest to ever walk through the halls of Congress. Our movement is stronger and more beautiful because of leaders like @coribush
I joined @thereidout to talk about our push for President Biden to certify and #PublishTheERA.

Cori is the proof we can & should expect more from our members of Congress. Time to run it back.
Join us tomorrow evening on Zoom for training and political education for this moment. We will discuss how democracies backslide into authoritarianism and how people have fought back, with lessons from Ferguson to Serbia and patterns from academic research. Panel: Congresswoman Cori Bush Ivan Marovic, Intl Center on Nonviolent Conflict Saul Levin, Project Moonshot and GND Network Register at MIP.la/moonshot
I’m proud of the work we did to deliver over $2 billion to St. Louis. This is funding that was poured into affordable housing, education, disaster relief, public transit, and healthcare. I fought hard for these investments and I’ll continue that fight when I return to Congress. Our district deserves nothing less than a proven champion representing us. #CoriForUs
When I’m back in office, I’ll continue my work to lower the costs of housing, groceries, health care, utility bills, and other everyday expenses that keep climbing. I’ll also keep fighting to raise the minimum wage and to ensure that St. Louis receives the investment that it deserves. In Trump’s America, we see our families being priced out of their communities and everyday people are forced to choose between putting food on the table and keeping the lights on. And while we struggle, the rich get richer. We need homes that regular people can afford. We need wages that rise with the cost of living. We need Medicare for All, healthy food in every neighborhood, and more good union jobs for workers of every skillset. In Congress, I fought for everyone, and I’m proud to still be fighting for them now. After we win our campaign, I’ll keep up that fight, and we’ll work towards an America that everyone can afford. #CoriForUs 💜

I know what it’s like to be unable to pay bills and battle with utility companies who make it even harder to get back on your feet. Too many in St. Louis are forced to choose between staying warm or putting food on the table. That’s unacceptable. I’m fighting to lower costs and make sure you can afford a life full of possibilities and dignity. #CoriForUs
I had such a great time at the St. Louis City and County Dems holiday party last week. To gather in community, celebrate, and discuss what a path forward for St. Louis looks like truly warms my heart. Here’s to continuing to fight for a St. Louis where all of our neighbors thrive. 💜
Trump’s assault on DEI is landing the hardest on Black women in the workforce. The second most impacted are Black men. The federal and private layoffs, discrepancies in pay, and ongoing marginalization in the workplace is all a deliberate attempt at silencing and removing our voices. These acts are again proof that Trump is only out for himself because we know that everyone misses out when their voices aren’t in the room. When I’m back in office, I’ll continue the fight to create a healthy workforce, to make sure everybody’s voices are accounted for. #CoriForUs
Our motto in Congress was to make sure we did the absolute most for everyone, especially for those who are often left out. I raised my voice and pushed to build St. Louis where everyone can depend on reliable safety nets that can catch us when we fall. I’m running for Congress to make sure nobody else feels like they have to fight to be heard. #CoriForUs
I was honored to have 5th Ward Democratic Committeewoman Helen Petty speak to organizers and volunteers at our Jews For Cori kick-off event last week. This is how we win this campaign: by bringing people together around our shared values, standing up for what’s right, and showing that hate has no home in St. Louis. Between now and election day, we’ll run a campaign that confronts antisemitism and advocates for our human rights. #CoriForUs
