If pregnancy was a battle, postpartum was a reckoning. Iza Calzado (@missizacalzado) describes it as “matrescence”—the profound psychological and physical transformation a woman undergoes when becoming a mother. “It involves a push and pull of identity as a woman navigates her former self with the new role of a mother,” she admits. The hormonal drop, sleep deprivation and struggle to breastfeed tested her resilience. She moves not to punish herself, but to sustain her sanity and vitality for Deia. This season has also reshaped her marriage. Iza and Ben are navigating the intricate dance of parenting, a topic they explore in their podcast, ‘Between Us’. Iza’s maternal instinct extends far beyond her home, shaping her work with She Talks Asia and AKTOR. “One of our goals for this year and beyond is to increase the reach to the grassroots,” she explains. This initiative, called “Kinaiya”—a Bisaya word meaning inner being, nature and character—aims to empower underprivileged communities through workshops. Through the AKTOR Database, health insurance, mental health programmes and legal help desks, she is helping build a safety net for an industry that has long operated without one. “There is a widespread conversation on reframing ageing on the global platform, and we, at She Talks Asia, believe that these discussions are relevant to the modern Filipina,” she adds. “We must not limit ourselves because we feel we are too old to thrive. We must allow and support other women to flourish.” Read the full cover story in Tatler’s March 2026 issue, available on Shopee, Lazada, Zinio, Magzter, Pressreader, or at newsstands. #TatlerPhilippines #WomensMonth #ArtIssue

This month, as we celebrate Women’s Month alongside our annual Art Issue, we honour the achievements, bravery and cultural impact of women everywhere. Embodying the grace, strength and compassion we champion is our spectacular cover star: Iza Calzado (@missizacalzado). A multi-awarded actor and passionate advocate, she represents a generation of creatives who view influence as a platform for responsible stewardship. Whether championing mental health, body positivity and other crucial issues through She Talks Asia or advocating for industry integrity with @aktorph, her voice resonates with profound conviction. To capture her essence, we took her to the National Museum of Fine Arts’ historic halls (@natmuseumph). Photographed by the amazing @marknicdao, Iza stands beautifully alongside iconic Filipino masterpieces, including Juan Luna’s breathtaking Spoliarium. The result is a stunning visual dialogue between artistry, history and modern femininity. We highlight 25 extraordinary women you need to know—visionaries whose contributions continue to shape our country and whose stars are set to rise even further. The inspiration continues throughout our pages. It had been nearly a decade since Iza Calzado (@missizacalzado) last performed on the ASAP stage, but this is Iza in her new phase—one defined by gratitude, intention and a surrender to the flow of life. “I just trusted,” she shares, noting that the performance was an homage to her late father, the legendary Lito Calzado: “I honoured Daddy. It felt so good.” It was a reclaiming of a God-given talent, a joyful rebellion against the notion that she must be defined by dramatic roles or serious accolades. That same aura enveloped the actor as she swept through the halls of the National Museum of Fine Arts, the setting for this issue’s cover shoot. Resplendent in an all-Filipino ensemble—a gown juxtaposed with a structured stole, paired with South Sea pearls by @jewelmer. Now a mother, wife, president of AKTOR and co-founder of She Talks Asia, she is protecting her peace while expanding her purpose. Her journey to motherhood was not a straight line; it was paved with fear, anxiety and grace. Discovering she was pregnant was a shock—“Oh, fudge,” she recalls saying, mindful that the baby might already hear her. What followed was a test of faith that would shake any expectant mother. Iza tested positive for Toxoplasmosis, a parasitic infection that can be catastrophic during pregnancy. Weeping by a mountainside in Switzerland, she made a covenant with her unborn child: “Lalaban tayo [We will fight].” Amidst the fear, the mother in her was born. Deia Amihan was born full-term, albeit small and undernourished due to the antibiotics Iza endured. But she was here and safe. “My god, she came out so well,” she whispers, the relief still palpable. In a conversation with Tatler, Iza Calzado (@missizacalzado) reflects on her 24-year career in three seasons. Her GMA 7 years were the “inertia” phase—young, moulded by mentors, swept up in the whirlwind fame of brand ads and soap operas like ‘Encantadia’. The move to ABS-CBN was a season of growth, establishing autonomy and finding her footing, culminating in her iconic role as Darna in 2022. Now, she embraces her most important role yet at the “Deia Network,” as mother to Deia, guided by meaning, purpose and service. She looks back at her mentors with gratitude: “I don’t think I’d be this person if not for people like you,” she says. Yet she has learned that the “Superwoman” trope is a myth. “All these new roles and responsibilities as leader and mother can be overwhelming,” she admits. “It really takes a village… my husband, angels at home, friends and family, management, social media team, my co-founder at She Talks Asia and the AKTOR leadership team enable me to do so much more than I thought possible.” Leaning back, she smiles: “I’m learning and growing so much. It’s challenging but truly a fulfilling season in my life. What a gift!” Then, with her signature energy, she laughs, “Sa totoo lang, gusto ko lang sumayaw [Truth be told, I just want to dance]!” Motherhood has also reshaped how Iza views the world. “As a woman and a mother, my heart aches seeing the state of our nation,” she says. “We must use our voice to inspire change, big or small, and collectively heal from trauma to move forward with hope.” Her vision is for her child and future generations: “I envision a nation where kindness is strength, courage is contagious, and equality is the norm. I’m committed to raising a child who is not just a survivor but a changemaker—strong, independent, compassionate and bold. Let’s empower the next generation to build a brighter future, where love and justice outweigh fear and injustice.” Read the full cover story in Tatler’s March 2026 issue, available on Shopee, Lazada, Zinio, Magzter, Pressreader, or at newsstands. #TatlerPhilippines #WomensMonth #ArtIssue

The pursuit of longevity has existed for as long as anyone can remember, and at first glance, it might seem like everyone’s just trying to hold on to their youth; but in reality, I think it’s people wanting to live the best lives that we can, with all the support we can get. At the global launch of Kerastase’s Chronologiste, I learned that our hair and scalp can be supported as we go through the inevitable truth of life — aging. Their caviar of longevity has the power to reboost scalp cells to optimize and extend hair health span. Our hair is there for us in every chapter of our lives, and with Chronologiste, we can embrace new adventures and challenges with dignity, grace, and confidence. It was such an honor to be a part of Power Talks, to be in a room full of successful and powerful women from different parts of the world, and different walks of life. From Global head Amber Yopp talking about Chronologiste, to the inspiring impact maker Delores Morton, CEO of Step Up, a mentoring app that provides mentorship, academic support, and career readiness programs to younger women; I am reminded of a simple truth: being given support, big or small, can change the course of someone’s life. It was truly inspiring to hear from the new face of Kerastase, Demi Moore, as she talked about her relationship with her hair and her continuous growth and discovery of self. Demi gave importance to being open hearted as a superpower and I deeply resonated with that. Demi is a beautiful soul, and is and has always been truly iconic! Being in that room also validated our work back home in the Philippines at @shetalksasia and how deep, meaningful conversations can reshape narratives of women about themselves and help us navigate the seasons of our lives. Inspired by Power Talks, I am excited to take all that I’ve learned to revitalize, not just my hair, but the energy I bring into our community and the connections I make with girls and women, every step of the way! Grateful for the opportunity to represent the Philippines with @cherrytreyes and @katmacatangay 🇵🇭 What an amazing start to Women’s Month! ❤️ #kerastase #chronologiste #powertalksla @kerastase_official

So proud of @rajolaurel , @venisselh , and @gelalaurel for creating something so intentional, so rooted, and so moving. The Holiday 2025 collection truly feels like a love letter to where we come from and who we are, honoring Filipino craftsmanship, local artisans, and the indigenous textiles used throughout the collection. Made even more special knowing it was a beautiful collaboration among their family and the incredible Rajo team. The reimagined Rajo store only makes it that much more meaningful. Grateful to have witnessed it, and to Robby Carmona Saga for always giving us a show that speaks to the soul.
