Iza Calzado Instagram – The pursuit of longevity has existed for as long as anyone can remember, and at first glance, it might seem like everyone’s just trying to hold on to their youth; but in reality, I think it’s people wanting to live the best lives that we can, with all the support we can get.
At the global launch of Kerastase’s Chronologiste, I learned that our hair and scalp can be supported as we go through the inevitable truth of life — aging. Their caviar of longevity has the power to reboost scalp cells to optimize and extend hair health span. Our hair is there for us in every chapter of our lives, and with Chronologiste, we can embrace new adventures and challenges with dignity, grace, and confidence.
It was such an honor to be a part of Power Talks, to be in a room full of successful and powerful women from different parts of the world, and different walks of life. From Global head Amber Yopp talking about Chronologiste, to the inspiring impact maker Delores Morton, CEO of Step Up, a mentoring app that provides mentorship, academic support, and career readiness programs to younger women; I am reminded of a simple truth: being given support, big or small, can change the course of someone’s life.
It was truly inspiring to hear from the new face of Kerastase, Demi Moore, as she talked about her relationship with her hair and her continuous growth and discovery of self. Demi gave importance to being open hearted as a superpower and I deeply resonated with that. Demi is a beautiful soul, and is and has always been truly iconic!
Being in that room also validated our work back home in the Philippines at @shetalksasia and how deep, meaningful conversations can reshape narratives of women about themselves and help us navigate the seasons of our lives. Inspired by Power Talks, I am excited to take all that I’ve learned to revitalize, not just my hair, but the energy I bring into our community and the connections I make with girls and women, every step of the way!
