my kinda comfort meal 🥩 Butter-basted steak • New York strip steak (or similar) • Salt pepper • 2 tbsp butter • 3 garlic cloves • Fresh rosemary Pat steak dry and season well. Sear in a hot pan on the fat side first and then 3–4 min per side. Add butter, garlic, and rosemary and baste until cooked to your liking. Rest 5–10 min before slicing. I like mine medium rare hehe… Garlic cheesy mashed potatoes • Yukon gold potatoes • Butter • Milk or cream • Mozzarella cheese • 2–3 garlic cloves • Salt & pepper Boil potatoes until tender. Cook garlic in butter until fragrant (or roast). Mash potatoes with butter and warm milk/cream, stir in mozzarella and garlic until creamy. Mushroom dijon gravy • Mushrooms • Butter or olive oil • Garlic • Splash broth • 1–2 tsp Dijon mustard • Salt & pepper Sauté mushrooms until golden, add garlic, deglaze with broth, then stir in Dijon and simmer until slightly thickened. Finish Spoon gravy over mashed potatoes steak and top with fresh chives xx
