Julianne Moore Instagram – My #WomenCrushWednesday this week is Audrey Samora, a @studentsdemand leader in San Antonio, Texas.
Audrey, who along with many of her peers has experienced gun violence firsthand, joined Students Demand Action as a freshman in high school. She quickly became a powerful voice in the movement, planning events like a Students Demand Action open mic night for people to share their experiences with gun violence. This past year, she also helped bring her fellow volunteers to Advocacy Day at the state capitol.
Now in a leadership role, Audrey has carried that momentum forward by organizing meetings, fundraisers, and other community events, connecting with the San Antonio City Council to advance gun safety policies, and pushing for gun safety resolutions with her school board.
