Haven’t taken a photo of myself in what feels like yonks. I’ve been fully immersed in mum life. Also, that little blip on here the other week made me realise that there’s zero room for mistakes and just how unforgiving social media can be when you’re trying to show up as your actual self. When there’s an audience, there’s pressure and not much room for human error. Not ideal when all I’m tryna do is keep it real and wing it like the rest of us.. Anywhooooo …nursery seems to be a germ-infested rave! Anyone else’s baby going through the constantly ill stage? This weekend alone we’ve been taken out by a sick bug, double nappies, and sleeping in a sea of towels. What in the Petri dish of Wuhan is going on. Here I am though. Having a baby basically means you permanently stick yourself at the bottom of the pile. Everyone else’s needs come first, the little monkey, the dog, the business, the emails, the random life admin you forgot existed. Meanwhile you’re just hoping for one uninterrupted wee and hot cup of tea. BUT this week… I actually did it. Packed us up, escaped as a family, and I’m currently sunbathing alone like some sort of mythical creature 🦄. I’m sat here writing, thinking my own thoughts for once, enjoying the quiet… and guess what? Baby is still alive, nothing’s on fire, and I’m feeling mildly restored☀️✨ So if you’ve been delaying something because life keeps lifing, go on, give yourself the day off. The chaos will patiently wait its turn and my GOD it’s hard when it does. ❤️ #mum #mumlife #boymum
