Sheryl Sandberg Instagram – On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists dragged @eli_sharabi7 barefoot from his home in Kibbutz Be’eri and took him into Gaza. He spent 491 days in captivity — isolated, starved, and beaten — holding on to the hope of one day seeing his family again. Only after his release did he learn the unbearable truth: his wife, Lianne, and their daughters, Noiya and Yahel, were murdered in the attacks.
“Hostage” is Eli’s painful and powerful story of survival. His memoir describes both the suffering of each day as well as the strength he found to keep going. I am so moved by his courage and resilience.
