So honored and excited to have contributed to my dear friend @boniver new album which is out 8/30 and is insanely beautiful and features many friends and guests including @bychorus with whom I recorded vocal arrangements.
For the last couple years @aarondessner @greengloves777 Carin Besser and I have been working on a musical adaptation of Cyrano with director/writer Erica Schmidt which will have its New York premiere this fall running October 11-November 24 with the New Group at the Daryl Roth Theater. The show stars the insanely talented Peter Dinklage as Cyrano. Tickets are on sale to the general public this Tuesday August 27.

I’ve spent the last couple of years working on a big piece of music inspired by Robert Mapplethorpe’s incredible photography. The result is ‘Triptych (Eyes of One on Another)’ which is performed at the @bam_brooklyn Opera House this week June 6-8 (link in profile for tix) I’m very proud of the music and deeply honored to have worked with such an incredible creative team and cast including our singers @aliciahallmoran @zayrob423 @roomfulofteeth @bcarterwells our brilliant writer @heykorde and director @kanezaschaal and designer @carlooto producer @arktype and so many more who have contributed to this beautiful production.

This past April @dgclassics released El Chan, an album of my compositions for the incredible French pianists @katiamariellelabeque with @orchestredeparis and Matthias Pinstcher which we dedicated to my my dear friend Alejandro González Iñárritu who inspired me to write the music and also designed the cover of the record. Another day off another hike but this time for @lanzprojects birthday in Utah Lake Blanche Trail
So excited to premiere a bunch of new music in Cork as part of @soundsfromasafeharbour in a couple weeks with my friends @katiamariellelabeque and @david_chalmin including compositions from our recent release for @dgclassics El Chan and music by Thom Yorke and the world premiere of a new version of Steve Reich’s landmark piece Electric Counterpoint.
@sopercussion sound checking my piece ‘music for wood and strings’ tonight in Athens for the @snforg festival…. if you know the new National song Quiet Light you will hear these same instruments (we call it a chordstick) I helped design for them with @polyphonic_workshop at the start of the song Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center
