Donisha Rita Claire Prendergast Instagram – In the past 10 years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel across the world and research, learn, share and be a part of so many historic moments as a result of @rastaasoulsjourney. Initially, we went to 8 countries to uncover the roots and evolution of RasTafari, this spiritual movement that I grew up seeing and being a part of, without fully overstanding the role that both my grandparents played in spreading the message across the corners of the Earth, which was embraced by so many Nations and Souls in distress, seeking for a deeper truth than what Babylon forced us to believe about ourselves and each other. I’ve met some amazing humans, and ultimately became a vessel to transmit messages beyond this physical plane to empower Right over Might, and forge new models of co-existence for a collective humanity. This documentary journey inevitably helped to define who I have become in the past decade, and what I will leave behind for future ones. It fuelled my Rebel and informed my fire, and Im so happy to be able to share it as the opening film in a 3 week workshop and film series, being hosted by @bobmarleyfoundation, leading up to my grandfather’s 75th Earthday celebration… “ Redemption”.
