As the only WOC on the NY state climate action council, a body that will chart the nation’s leading climate goals- made possible by #grassroots organizing, Raya is all about making #NewYork more healthy, resilient, and just. Raya also serves as Lead Policy Organizer for NY Renews, a coalition of nearly 200 environmental, justice, faith, labor, and community groups, and the force behind the nation’s most progressive climate law, New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.
