Home Actress Lisa Ray Instagram Photos and Posts – August 2020 Lisa Ray Instagram - Happy to share my original piece for @kindleindia on Coddiwompling through these times. What’s that, you say? I dare say it might even tickle you out of your lockdown trance. Link to the article in bio. Here’s a little excerpt: “Life can be hostile if we insist on sticking to a plan day after day, because it narrows our perceptions and sucks the joy out of simply stumbling into a bog of miracles. The coddiwompler knows, don’t block the entrance. How do we understand the vast expanse of what it means to be alive if we don’t explore all its amazing possibilities and terrible realities? Illumination comes when you don’t actively seek it, but seek you must, the sacred in the everyday. While the coddiwompler code prevents me from revealing more about the beatific yet vague destination, just remember: in disarray lie imaginative kingdoms. Surrender to the twin forces of wonder and absurdity that coddiwompling brings you amidst all the rage and fury of the world. (Brings hand to mouth and whispers: The truth is, everyone is winging it.)”

Lisa Ray Instagram – This monsoon afternoon was pure magic
Repost from @mediumbyriddhijain using @RepostRegramApp – Happy Accidents.
She wears a striking red sari that she says, reminds her of her Bengali father and Polish mother. She has a picture of them stashed away in her phone. When she raises a bindi to her forehead and hands you an elusive smile, you feel the layers on her skin dissolving.
Oh! I never planned to be a model or an actor. She remarks casually. It’s one of those happy accidents. The rain lashes against her voice as she sits cocooned inside glass walls. Her voice resonates as she points out, ironically, how removed Mumbai is from divinity despite being surrounded by temples, Mosques and Churches.

A playful amalgamation of territories & traditions, this collection of contemporary sarees is Medium’s experimentation with Bengal’s extra weft weaving delicately syncing with Gujarat’s indigenous tie-dye techniques.

Lisa Ray Instagram – A: I love that @vogueitalia is highlighting a breakout generation of Indian women that I rant about to anyone within earshot and who give me life.
B. I love Shweta.
C. This is should be mounted as THE anti-Matchmaking campaign. Especially for the Indian diaspora. Eegads. Don’t get me started.

Shweta is a stylist, fashion designer and artist living in Mumbai. She curates her life in the same style as her wardrobe and this is evident in the work she creates as a stylist as well as how she decorates her home. Little details in every nook and corner of her home show memories of hers and of others, lives well lived and made nostalgic in paintings and little knick-knacks. Her style is authentic to her and is a window into her mind and mood.

The idea of a woman having a career, being independent and living on her own terms, to explore herself professionally and personally and to push her boundaries is a very contemporary notion in India.

As a society at large, we often compare growth and evolution by the success stories of pioneers. Here’s a list of 13 women who are part of a new India that is being formed, an India on the path to a change that starts in the mind and in the home. These are women who have broken stereotypes and pushed the boundaries of gender and occupation as a way of life.
